National Earth Fair
Nicaraguan Government Authorities announced that Nicaragua will host the National Earth Fair in Puerto Salvador Allende , Managua , on June 5th and 6th 2014.
The National Earth Fair is held every year in Nicaragua in connection with the World Environment Day , commemorated on June 5th since 1973. This year's activity will have the theme " Fully Managing Waste and taking care of the water... ''Haciendo Patri'' or Patria Making.
The fair brings together state agencies , private companies and environmentalists in the same conclusion .
"It is gratifying to find in these spaces to promote values and continue the search as private company that promotes the National Earth Fair , with our small and medium enterprises, to youth ," said Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Juana Argeñal , at a press conference .
Port Salvador Allende receives on average 5,000 visitors each day. The National Earth Fair has come to receive 30,000 visitors in previous years, most primary and secondary education. In Nicaragua , each year 70,000 hectares of forests are lost , according to official estimates , according to official data.
