Villa El Carmen offers Rural Community Tourism to Managuas

As part of the Tourism Campaign Nicaragua Mía 2014, the Delegation of Managua, in coordination with the Office of Tourism and the municipal mayor of Villa El Carmen as well as the media and students of Citizen Power Customs I School community Samaria, participated in an activity of backpacking and hiking in the San Diego beach, Wildlife Reserve and Rio Quelantaro Lodoso in the municipality of Villa El Carmen, Department of Managua. 

Hikers crossed the natural attractions of the municipality also participated and tasted the process of making bread, tortilla and oven thing in Quelantaro Private Wildlife Reserve. 

Tour operators said they were proud to have natural and logistical resources that could attract more domestic and international tourists. The Tourism Cabinet INTUR and thanked the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity for the opportunity and support that gives them daily for commissioning tourist value of the resources at their disposal 

Companion Martha Baltodano, Delegate INTUR to Managua reported that work on the project "Strengthening the Ecotourism Circuit Quelantaro and Virgin Beaches" initiative of Grant Road Project Colonial and Volcano, are near completion and only missing a few tweaks ornamentation and cleaning. 

The delegate of Managua said that the delivery of this project to the municipality and the town of Villa El Carmen, who are the beneficiaries, so it will be soon, he stressed that this act help promote hiking and Rural Tourism and Community, as domestic and foreign tourists visiting Villa El Carmen now tell a family room to pass by the newly built huts, the biological station and the bird observatory.
