Nicaragua Welcomes 2015 IV SURFING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
INTUR authorities together with the authorities of the ISA reported at a briefing on all aspects of world surfing championship on Sunday May 31 opens in the afternoon in the central park of Rivas, kicking off the contest on June on the beaches of Popoyo, Tola municipality.
The president of the International Surfing Association, ISA, Fernando Aguerre thanked the government of President Daniel Ortega, for all the support that has been provided to surfing championships have been held in Nicaragua, including this fourth global sporting event.
He added that Nicaragua waves are exceptional for surfing and surfers, each day adds more followers in Nicaragua, especially for the support provided by the government.
Aguerre said that the World Surfing Games to be organized this year in Nicaragua with the participation of more than 150 surfers from more than 25 countries, among them Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, United States, Portugal, Tahiti and of course, Nicaragua
He stressed that Nicaragua has many tourist destinations in quality and beautiful beaches, which will be announced by surfers to participate in this world championship, which will become ambassadors of our country.
Aguerre added that the partnership between ISA and surfing the government of Nicaragua has given excellent results, which has allowed the country to become a world major surfing destination.
For its part, the Executive President of INTUR, Mayra Salinas, said that this world championship surf had not been possible without the determined will of the government of Nicaragua, led by President Daniel Ortega and the public-private partnership.
He stressed the support of private enterprise world-class event and the local organizing "Turinsa" which has been on the organizational part in the three previous world that took place in Nicaragua. Also he referred to the invaluable work of the municipalities of Rivas and Tola in organizing these World Surfing Game.
Events of this nature are an extraordinary opportunity for Nicaragua to promote tourism in Nicaragua and for the generation, employment and well-being of all communities in Tola, which has stimulated the creation of schools and other ventures that They have been creating for the benefit of all communities in this municipality in the department of Rivas.
By the local organization of the event, Ms. Lucy Valenti thanked the support of the President of the Republic Comandante Daniel Ortega and the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism to the world surfing championship which would not have been possible without such support.
The President explained that surfing Turinsa is unique besides being a sport, is a tourist segment that Nicaragua has over 100 beaches with conditions for surfing, with waves competitive, world-class.
